Yesterday, while walking my dog Indy in the park, we came across this abandoned, frightened & crying kitten near the  dumpsters which were located in a chained up area. Of course I couldn't just leave him there to starve to death. So I called out to him. Fortunately, he came to me when I said kitty, kitty. Naturally I took him home to baby him.  He barely looked up at me while he ate 2 cans of cat food & 1 cup of dry cat food. Yes, all in one sitting. My Veterinarian Dr Spindor, checked him for Feline Leukemia as well as other diseases, and gave him a much needed flea bath. My husband said he reminds him of a soccer ball and named him soccer. According to my vet, Soccer is 5 months old & is in good health.

Moonpie Passed away October 11th 2007.

Meet Moonpie. I rescued him from a family that kept him in a cage and let him out occasionally. He also wore a choker collar which was imbedded in is throat. Moonpie has been with me for 7 years now. He is very loved and he makes an excellent cuddlier. My husband and I will struggle over who gets to cuddle with him at night. Moonpie has recently had two eye surgeries and is blind and going deaf. I do my best to protect him and keep him out of harms way.
